POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications of qualified Postdoctoral Scholar applicants to work closely with the PI Han on the study of dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) mechanism and instrumentation to enhance the scope of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. with an anticipated start date of late October through December 2022.
The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Applicants must either have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics or related fields OR be enrolled in a PhD program at the time of application.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
A PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics or related fields is required by time of appointment.
Preferred qualifications
The expectation is that the prospective postdoctoral researcher has basic level experience in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and either experience or interest in working on the development of dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) instrumentation.
