Job Summary
Electronics Technician, I
Assist team by performing analysis, testing, and support of electronics and circuits. Support engineers by fabricating and assembling electronics prototypes from blueprints, schematics, or sketches using knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments. Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required. May provide support to manufacturing. Typically requires high school/trade school education, associate degree, certification, or professional training. Perform routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
Electronics Technician, II

Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments. Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required. May provide support to manufacturing. Typically requires high school/trade school education, associate degree, certification, or professional training. Complete routine tasks under moderate supervision.
Electronics Technician, III
Assist engineers by performing analysis, testing, and support of electronics and circuits. Support engineers by fabricating and assembling electronics prototypes from blueprints, schematics, or sketches using knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments. Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required. May provide support to manufacturing. Typically requires high school/trade school education, associate degree, certification, or professional training. Complete assignments with little supervision. May assist less-experienced team members.

Responsibilities
Ensures safe condition and operation of electrically powered equipment through testing and inspection. Troubleshoots and repairs general electronic equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoots, repairs, assembles and maintains general electronic equipment.
2. Maintains maintenance logs.
3. Recommends improvements to equipment, procedures and schedules.
4. Test system functionality and analyze data
5. Assists other employees with the maintenance and operation of assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Electronics Technician, I: Requires little to no related experience.
Electronics Technician, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
Electronics Technician, III: Requires 3+ years of related experience.
Preferences
- Two years vocational and electronic training with an emphasis on basic electronic systems and equipment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) preferred.
- Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills strongly preferred
- This position is not responsible for providing patient care.
